I’m John Shubeck—a farmer, Marine, coach, husband, and father—serving District 16 in the South Dakota House and seeking reelection.

I’ve always been drawn to serving my community and my country. Over the years, that service has taken many forms—military service, agriculture boards, coaching youth, community involvement, and now public office. My faith, family, and community have shaped my belief that service means putting others first and doing what’s right, even when it’s not easy.

I’m running to bring service-driven, common-sense leadership to Pierre and to stay accountable to the people I represent.

The work I’m focused on comes from listening to people across SD District 16 and paying attention to what affects everyday life. These priorities reflect the concerns I hear most often and the responsibility I take seriously as a public servant.
